The owner’s of this newly built, 4-storey residence in Hillarys, requested a custom library be designed and built to accommodate their large book collection.
Finished in Jarrah, the library cabinetry was carefully designed to suit the shape of the room, ensuring sound ergonomics whilst maintaining visual appeal. Wall panelling was also incorporated into the design, with built-in access panels to service ducts and laundry chutes. Additionally, the construction of the cabinet work had to be considered, with the library being located on a first floor level. Manufactured in sections, the assembly was conducted completely on-site.
All of these details were captured in the design phases, and clearly communicated with the client and builder with the use of 3D modeling.
