With almost all of our furniture pieces being bespoke, it's always good to see a physical mock up of a design to see it's real form.
Sketches are great but sometimes just don't quote capture the true shape as a physical piece does.
Put simply, trees don't grow dead straight.
Many do and as a result you see grain pattern that is relatively straight. But some don't and as a result, you get figured pattern that is curled along the length of the board.
The grain is compressed perpendicularly crossing the face of the board producing an illusion of light and volume.
Or in layman's terms, it looks bloody good.
